Cookie Statement

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site work, remember your choices, and measure how it's used. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) work the same way, and we refer to all of them here as "cookies".

2. Your control

When you first visit cognelis.fr, our consent banner (powered by Axeptio) asks which categories you allow. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site can't work without them. Everything else is set only if you accept.

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer, which reopens the consent panel.

3. Categories we use

Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and to record your consent. Always on; no consent needed.

Audience measurement / analytics — help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Set only with your consent.

4. Cookies on this site

Axeptio sets our consent cookies (axeptio_cookies, axeptio_authorized_vendors, axeptio_all_vendors). These are strictly necessary — they store and prove the choices you make in the consent banner — and last up to 13 months.

Framer, which hosts and serves the site, may set functional cookies or local-storage entries needed for the site to work. These are strictly necessary.

If Google Analytics (GA4) is installed, it sets audience-measurement cookies (_ga and ga[ID]) to distinguish visitors and measure how the site is used. These are set only with your consent and last up to 13 months.

If we add other tools later — for example Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, or embedded video — we'll describe them here before they go live.

5. Third-party providers

Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use — currently Google (analytics) and Axeptio (consent). These providers process data under their own policies; where they transfer data outside the EU/EEA, appropriate safeguards apply (see our Privacy Policy, "International transfers").

6. Consent duration and withdrawal

Your consent is stored for up to 13 months, after which we ask again. You can withdraw or change consent at any time from the footer link. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect processing that already took place.

7. Contact

Questions about cookies: hello@cognelis.fr. You may also contact or complain to the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), the French data-protection authority.
